Ethical, Sustainable, Handcrafted.
Traditional Copal incense handmade in Mexico.
A natural tree resin, Copal comes from the Buresa family, a medicinal tree to the Mayas in southern Mexico.
The scent is like trekking through a deep, woody pine forest on a crisp, clear morning.
Copal is a sacred incense dating back to the Maya and Aztec civilisations. Still revered by the people of Mexico, as well as South and Central America, Copal is a strong, woody incense that has been used for thousands of years to clear negative energy.
Copal is connected to the crown chakra and is often used in meditations to help deepen centred presence and awareness. It is also believed to strengthen the auric body, dispelling negative energy and blocks.
Incausa presents 10 handmade traditional copal incense sticks, delicately wrapped in a handmade lokta paper scroll.

Incausa represents to the native people of the Amazon basin an opportunity to preserve an integral livelihood and an alternative to industries that threaten to undermine these communities.
In addition, the work of these artisans represents a connection to their ancestry that spans millenniums, with the power to create dialogue between different cultures and break a cycle of prejudice and discrimination.
