HANDMADE TRADITIONAL JAPANESE CANDLES BY WAROSOKU DAIYO

Traditional Japanese candles known as Warosoku can help to focus mindful attention and appreciation when in meditation, reflection, prayer, practice and when honouring precious time. 

Beautifully engineered from all natural materials. The wax is made from the fruit of the sumac tree and the flame comes from a special wick made from a unique recipe dating back to the 16th century. The Warosoku is a symbol of ancestral wisdom. Using plant-based materials, the wick is made by winding dried rushes around hollow cord of washi (Japanese paper made from natural fibers). 

The hollow core of the wick allows oxygen to be drawn up from the bottom so that the flame consumes more melted wax, thus increasing the combustion power and creating a bright, powerful flame. 

Canister contains 20 x 80mm candles, burn time is approximately 40 minutes.
These unique candles leave no trace of wax dripping nor emit smoke while burning.

On lighting a flame
